The NetApp Solutions group is seeking a Principal Solutions Product Manager to identify and build out new businesses that, amongst other areas, target the modernization of enterprise-class databases, application architectures and development methodologies, and much more. To be successful in the role, you will: focus on the needs of current and future customers, taking on a General Manager persona. expand NetApp''s solutions businesses into new market adjacencies where the right combinations of market opportunities, differentiated capabilities, and GTM exists or can be built. translate customer, sales, channel, and market feedback into cohesive solutions narratives, targeted customer outcomes, and associated requirements. build comprehensive business cases to support solutions investment allocation. continuously interface with key customers/prospects, sales, channel partners, product groups, and ISVs on inbound planning and outbound programs. drive field and partners to adopt and scale sales activities to achieve solution revenue goals. use data and metrics both to maximize decision-making process quality before, during, and post-solutions development. ensure success by defining, facilitating, and implementing solutions strategies cross-functionally toward a unified goal. Job Requirements 6+ years of product management, and associated product marketing, business consulting, or business operations related relevant experience, preferably with a GTM bias and focused on solutions; experience with managed services, cloud services, outsourcing, or similar from a provider point-of-view a distinct advantage. At least 1 year of working with one or more Hyperscalers, focused on partnering to deliver both cloud-first solutions and bridging on-premises environments via hybrid capabilities. 3+ years working with solutions focused on traditional enterprise databases such as Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or SAP HANA, preferably both on-premises and in the cloud. Experience working with containers and modern database infrastructures, with experience building solutions in the public cloud. Exposure to modern infrastructure and application automation approaches and hybrid operations simplification. Deep appreciation for the value of data management and storage; familiarity with NetApp and/or our competitors is a plus, as is experience with common use-cases such as data protection, disaster recovery, and workload mobility. Knowledge of key vendors such as VMware, Red Hat, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, and OSS technologies such as K8s, NoSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, and Cassandra. Strong business acumen and strategic planning experience, including leveraging industry analyst input to develop a clear market-view. Track record of developing, launching, and scaling successful B2B offerings that have gained broad market adoption, working hand-in-hand with sales and partner leadership. Education 5+ years of helping clients develop/execute GTM and business transformation strategies for a leading consulting firm, or equivalent experience. 5+ years'' experience working across numerous groups/functions in enterprise technology companies, high-growth software or software-related services businesses preferred. A successful track record in a similar role for business units with >$200M run rates. Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred. Keen financial/analysis skills that can be applied to market and sales data, product and services telemetry, and innovative consumption models. Deep business case development expertise, and success in working in environments where access to required data is either constrained or uncertain. Ability to translate customer business needs and challenges into straightforward technology solutions. Experience working with in highly-matrixed virtual organizations spanning engineering, development, sales, partner, and marketing teams. Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to influence others, both internally and externally. Ability to orchestrate strategic and complex cross-functional business activities and projects with sharp business acuity, creativity, and attention to detail. Proven track record of driving results by influencing and directing cross-functional teams with people at different levels and across disparate groups. Financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills across product telemetry, market data, and POS/consumption models. Critical thinking and analytical/problem-solving skills; the ability to combine and balance qualitative analysis with a proven understanding of strategy, operations, interpersonal, and technical competencies.
