Summary: The Maintenance Project Supervisor is responsible for the supervision all aspects of the daily work carried out by AIT or contracted technicians across 4 shifts working 20 hours a day 7 days a week. Duties and Responsibilities: * Drive a culture of safety through leading by example, setting expectations, establishing standards, and reinforcing correct behavior during the day-to-day operations. Conduct Weekly safety topic training. * Recognize problem areas and develops action plans to mitigate these issues ultimately leading to a successful resolution. * Negotiate and assist with work to be performed to support the upkeep of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and refurbishment of tooling fixtures. * Troubleshoot problematic systems, determining repairs needed to be performed and leading the team through to resolution. * Organize work activities to align with production schedules and assign work activities. * May perform safety training when new tools, equipment or processes are deployed. * Ensure employees are trained and have all the required skills to perform the jobs to satisfaction. * Develop and implement new maintenance procedures and make revisions as necessary.* Assists the contracting house and their Human Resources department in enforcing attendance and other company policies. Reviews timecards for accuracy, creates and submits weekly attendance reports to contracting house. Provides performance feedback.* Evaluate AIT and contract worker''s performance annually, reinforcing good performance and developing plans for improvement. * Investigate accidents and prepare corrective action reports. Manages all incident reporting and root cause analysis. * Ensure proper maintenance of department''s records in a CMMS program.* Supervise special maintenance/engineering projects and ensure highest level of workmanship. Assist in the preparation and completion of technical and non-technical documents, training, production, and maintenance procedures, drawing packages, and other related documentation for the project. * Evaluate functionality and reliability of machinery and equipment by reviewing reports from the CMMS and conferring with the automation, and tooling departments to confirm problems areas and operational improvements. Goal is to improve function and reliability of machinery and equipment by studying Root Cause Analysis to identify cause and solutions. * Utilizing a CMMS program to monitor spare parts levels, creates requisitions and recommendations for spare parts re-order. Works with Parts Admin and technical staff to maintain spare parts inventory accuracy and tool accountability. * Must be available by phone after hours to handle situations to plan staffing and resources for emergency situations.* Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience: * High School Diploma or GED. * Associates Degree or two years related experience in lieu of degree preferred. * Certification in/or Craft Level Training in Mechanical, Electrical, or PLC''s systems. * Minimum of five years of hands-on experience performing maintenance on various types of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and machinery. * Minimum of two years of supervisory experience managing maintenance personnel is preferred * Experience planning daily and monthly work schedule to ensure equipment availability with minimal downtime. * Experience assigning work orders, monitoring workload assigned to ensure work is completed in a timely manner with quality and precision. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements: * Current Secret Clearance is a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. * Utilizes hand tool, power tools, equipment manuals, electrical diagrams and mechanical prints to maintain equipment and machinery. * Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices. * Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms. * Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). * Respond and follow up to a customer''s inquiry or problem in a timely and effective manner. * Identifies problems and review relevant information to develop options, then implements the solutions. * Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers. Work Conditions: Work Hours: * Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions. Travel Requirements: * Perform job responsibilities from customer work sites. Physical Demands: * Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. * Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. * Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
