Sr Specialist, Software Test Engineer

Description: Job Title: Sr Specialist, Software Test Engineer Job Code: IMS20220106-83313 Job Location: Plano, TX L3Harris Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. As a Sr Specialist, Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for development and execution of test infrastructure, test automation, and test plans and procedures written from requirements documents and design documents. There will be a heavy focus on collaborating with the DevOps team to incorporate test automation into our CI/CD pipelines. Major Job Activities: Design, document, and develop system, subsystem, and unit test software in accordance with the Software Development Process and coding standards and guidelines. Advocate for good testing practices throughout the entirety of the Software Development Lifecycle Participate in software design/code reviews Present designs in internal and external program meetings Participate in Integration efforts/Bug fixes Participate in estimating efforts for programs Provide input to project schedule, financial, and technical goals Perform risk assessment and development of mitigation strategies Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be a U.S.citizen with existing DoD Secret Clearance with current 6-year update.;must be able to obtain additional clearances as required Bachelors degree in ComputerEngineering, Computer Science, or related field with required years of software experience A minimum of 8 years experience in Computer/Software Engineering field Experience testing Embedded and/or Applications software Development experience with C, C++, or C Experience with Python, or other scripting languages Familiarity with Real Time Operating Systems Good time management skills Fast learner - adaptive thinker Familiar with DevOps practices Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
