If these qualities describe you, we''d love for you to join Ingevity!The engineering area supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operations of the assigned plant area , including day to day operations and maintenance. Engineering area supervisor will coordinate activities to identify and eliminate safety hazards and environmental excursions, implement cost reduction initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts.How You Will Impact IngevityEnsures the assigned plant area is operating to support executing production plans to meet business demand and investigate deviations from the set planBuild strong knowledge and understanding around SHE rules and regulations to maintain a strong culture of compliance and valuesEnsure compliance with all requirements of the Quality Management Systems for the areaManage and direct Area CoordinatorsCover Area Production Manager and Area Production Supervisor responsibilities as neededAssist with plant outage planning and executing as needed for the assigned plant areaProvide coaching to drive continued improvementImplement improvements in assigned plant area to drive plant successIdentify, troubleshoot and prescribe innovative solutions to complex operational issuesCoordinate and review MOCs and perform activities to support thorough management of changes madeLead and/or participate in investigations (safety, customer complaints, reliability)What You Need to SucceedBachelor''s Degree in Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years Production/Manufacturing experience3 years supervising exempt/hourly employees preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBe an active and engaged safety leader to build and maintain a strong safety culture to achieve zero personal and process safety incidentsStrong analytical skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the company to achieve resultsThis role is eligible for relocation assistance.This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
