About the role: The US Campaign Manager is a member of ''s US National Team responsible for the overall stewarding of one or more of the US campaigns, an active contributor to the US strategic planning process, and partnership coordination. The US Campaign Manager is responsible for facilitating the co-generation, development and evaluation of US campaigns under their purview that contributes to building a strong and powerful, multiracial, climate justice movement. This includes information gathering, thought partnership and facilitating information sharing on a strategy that centers racial justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), and creates alignment among campaigns, organizing, mobilization and movement support. The US Campaign Manager will work as a thought partner to the Associate Director of Campaigns & Mobilization and side by side with the Campaigns & Mobilization team to achieve our JEDI strategic priorities of building and mobilizing a multitracial base. The US Campaign Manager will project manage a team to achieve the objectives of both their campaign area(s) and contribute to the broader US objectives. Essential Duties: Apply critical race theory in campaign strategy and management. Manage 1-3 campaign and/or multiracial project teams to enact the US Strategy in alignment with ''s Global Theory of Change and strategic steer. Support the coordination of the US team in the annual strategic planning process for US campaigns, working in collaboration with the US Associate Director Campaigns & Mobilization, to ensure that racial justice, equity, diversity and inclusion are at the core of all campaigns and there is representation and buy-in from your campaign team and each department. Together with the Mobilization Manager, develop and execute national plans for organizing and implementing US mobilizations and major events, strategically positioning ''s role in the US climate justice landscape and building a broader and multiracial global base of partners and supporters. Support internal coordination to review progress, with a Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion (JEDI) lens, in your campaign areas via the campaign coordination body to ensure alignment between strategy and programmatic work in line with the strategic vision. Contribute to the Campaigns & Mobilization team in regularly seeking out and identifying strategic, multiracial, coordinating opportunities that help advance US team goals and build our capacity. Maintain a system to track and monitor progress towards campaign goals through a JEDI lens, own the monitoring and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your campaign and program areas. Work closely with the Associate Director of Campaigns & Mobilization and J&E Sr. Specialist to support JEDI centric campaign identification and campaign shift planning pivots. Function as a spokesperson to the media as needed for your campaign areas or on behalf of the US program. Support the coordination of mid-year, JEDI centric, re-planning and adaptive management. Liaise with global and other regional colleagues for support of US campaigns and support for global campaigns with a US connection. Have a global perspective of climate justice and the US role in achieving it. Work closely with Communications, Digital, Movement Support, and Justice & Equity teams to support campaigns and projects. Coordinating & supporting the campaign planning process for national projects Organizational and Team Initiatives Develop equity skills and competencies by actively contributing to US JEDI programming, including serving a term on the Equity team Contribute learning and collaboration in Global Campaigns Community of Practice Minimum Requirements: Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent work experience. At least 6 years of relevant experience in global not-for-profit, preferably in climate justice, racial justice, LGBTQIA rights, immigrant and refugee rights, indigenous peoples rights or similar social justice organizations. At least 4 years of experience in project management. Strong multiracial coalition management experience required. Strong programmatic and multiracial team management experience required. A demonstrated application of and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), critical race theory, anti-racism or anti-oppression work. Ability to manage across differences and work effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, class, age, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds. Strong ability to think strategically and translate overarching strategies into JEDI centric department goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear and simple messages for a diverse range of audiences. Ability to manage complex projects and work across departments. Ability to prioritize and focus effectively across a wide range of responsibilities. Comfort and ease working in an environment that requires rapid response at times. Ability to demonstrate grace under pressure. Strong ability to manage and work with remote teams from across the globe. Fluency in English. Preferred but not required: Lived experience as a member of or working with BIPOC and/or frontline communities. Expertise in fossil fuel finance campaigning or campaigning against the fossil fuel industry. Proficient in Google Suite, including Gmail, GCal, Google Drive, Docs, Slides and Spreadsheets. Proficient in Slack and Zoom. Prior experience in an activist organization. Other Requirements: This role may be required to travel domestically and internationally. This role is expected to work remotely with an ability to work across different time zones.
