Resource Innovations is seeking a Regional Sales Director to join our growing team on the East Coast. As a Sales Director with Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for successfully positioning the company as a premier energy efficiency consultancy, increasing demand for its portfolio of services, and securing new business to achieve annual revenue targets. The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. For more information on Resource Innovations combined with Nexant, visit Responsibilities Secure new revenue with Electric and Gas utilities, by driving new sales, and working with Resource Innovations regulatory team, delivery team, and shared services teams Achieve annual sales quota goals ($5 million in 1st year revenues; and $10+ million in Total Contract Value) Increase company revenue through the expansion of energy efficiency (EE), demand response (DR), and other Distributed Energy Resources (DER) services to electric and gas utilities in target geographic areas and help company achieve sales and bookings goals Provide excellent customer service and business development opportunities for our regional delivery teams Develop and implement integrated marketing and business development strategies including detailed sales and account plans to capture new utility clients and expand existing utility accounts Serve as a Resource Innovations client advocate on program teams to ensure fulfillment of brand promise including customer satisfaction and experience Partner with business unit leads, subject matter experts, and national support service teams to develop customized solutions to achieve potential or existing client needs Actively identify client and market needs through collaboration with Sector Leads and Delivery Leaders to create new solutions and product offerings Meet with every IOU and large municipal utility within assigned sales service territory in a given calendar year Drive process improvements where needed to improve quality, creativity, sales and account management processes, and customer service Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and contractors Lead and support proposal development process by providing proposal team with insight on key market and client drivers and strategic guidance on competitive positions, approach, and pricing Assist with the growth of the capital of Resource Innovations. This includes assisting with product development, product improvements, helping to build new tools, new program ideas, etc. Support project launch and ensure smooth transition of clients to project implementation teams Work with delivery team leaders on opportunities within their region and utility accounts Provide operational and support services feedback to applicable leadership Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor''s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university Ten or more years of proven Sales Experience driving revenue growth (sales experience) for a professional services company in the Electric and Gas utility sector Existing relationships with mid- to senior- level electric and gas utility staff is a plus Entrepreneurial drive with proven success growing business Analytical skills specifically in marketing and sales analysis Astute project management skills including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, workflow management and quality improvement Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skills Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills Strong commitment to external and internal customer service and satisfaction Must have the ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time Excellent computer skills and understanding of email, operating systems and the Internet Experience with CRM platforms such as SalesForce, or Microsoft Dynamics.
