Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.What you will do in this role:• Performs an initial assessment and provides a peri-operative plan of care• Incorporates patient/family education into the peri-operative plan of care for post procedure follow-up• Assists with the flow of the patient through the continuum of care in the outpatient environment• Collaborates with physicians and other health care providers when changes in condition, diagnostic results and other pertinent information may impede procedure• Ability to adapt to various care settings and function in an independent role from admit through recovery and discharge care• Provides age appropriate care to all patient populations for which staff member is responsible and trainedQualifications Education:• Associates degree in Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.What qualifications you will need:• 1 year of experience is an acute care setting is required. Will consider those with a Medical/Surgical background.• Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Texas• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support course (PLS or PCLS) and certification is required.HCA Healthcare ranks on Fortune''s list of Most Admired Companies for three consecutive years and HCA ranks 63rd on the fortune 500 list.
