You will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing services staff, in addition to the supervision of the Therapy Department and its'' functions within the facility.Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of hospital and patients alike.Responsibilities - Director of Nursing (DON)Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)Guide staffing proceduresSet objectives and long-term goals for the nursing departmentOrganize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care proceduresDevelop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standardsControl budgets and monitor expendituresResolve issues and deficiencies when neededManage record-keeping proceduresCollaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operationsReport to upper managementSkillsUnderstanding of basic budgeting and financial reportingGreat knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcareWillingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administrationExcellent ability to lead and develop personnelGreat communication and people skillsOutstanding organizational and stress management skillsAptitude in problem-solvingValid nursing and CPR certificationEducation/Experience:Maintains a current, valid Nursing License as a registered professional nurse, in good standing in the state the facility resides in.Possesses a minimum one (1) year of experience in nursing service administration.
