Senior Accountant - Government Compliance with ...

Position Summary This position will oversee government compliance activities, including the development of disclosure statements, indirect rate proposals, and incurred cost submissions, ensuring that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards. The successful candidate will coordinate and track progress of regulatory audits, ensuring that deliverables are responsive and delivered on a timely basis. This position will research government accounting standards (FAR, DFARS and CAS) in order to evaluate compliance and recommend and develop compliant policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: * Develop and maintain disclosure statements and indirect rate proposals. * Coordinate the preparation and review of incurred cost submissions. * Coordinate deliverables and timetable for government audits, including maintaining request lists and status, review of documentation for responsiveness and preparation of work papers and support. * Monthly review of indirect rate pools and bases. * Document policies, procedures, and workflow to ensure compliance will regulations. * Provide guidance in terms of government regulations with an ability to research the FAR, DFARS and CAS. * Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned. LI-DM1 Requirements Minimum Requirements * Must have k nowledge of government accounting regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS) * Must understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Must have accounting degree from four-year college or university; and/or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must have experience with Deltek Costpoint software * Must have experience with government rate pools * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment * Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational/communication skills * Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality * Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ingenuity with the ability to effectively achieve organizational established goals and objectives * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service and collaborative team environment * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel Desired Requirements * Previous experience as an auditor or in managing/tracking external auditors * Experience preparing incurred cost submissions * Experience with government rate pools, * CPA, CMA or CIA designation * Experience with Deltek Costpoint * Ability to get a security clearance Company Policy MAG Aerospace (MAG) is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to Diversity and Inclusion.
