Position Requirements * Bachelor''s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or five (5) years of systems engineering experience on projects with similar software. * Proven work experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linus based environments * Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks * Experience with virtualization and containerization * Experience monitoring systems * Experience with automation software * Solid scripting skills * Solid networking knowledge * Solid Cloud experience * Fully COVID19 vaccinated * Located in Anne Arundel County Maryland Job Duties/Tasks This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: * Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure * Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools * Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability * Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes * Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies * Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human interaction time on any tasks * Participate in the design of information and operational support systems * Provide 2nd and 3rd level support * Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Benefits: * Health, dental and visions benefits for the employee and family * 401k Plan with a company contribution; fully vested immediately * Company provided Life and ADD insurance * Company provided Short-Term Disability insurance * Company provided Long-Term Disability insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts * 15 days of vacation first year; 20 days of vacation starting year 4 * 10 paid holidays Salary Range Minimum: Maximum: FLSA: Exempt PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 0-24% 25-49% 50-74% 75-100% Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer.
