This role comes with direction from the Director of DevOps and Data Insights team and the opportunity to work on and lead high-visibility projects that have an extremely high impact on AVEVA . You will support our teams core mission - Deliver . Faster. As lead of the Data Insights team your role is to a ccelerate the decision-making process for key RnD stakeholders . We believe that to do so takes a team who loves to wrestle technology and process through engaging, collaborative , relationships driven by data centric decision making. Adopting and adapting to change is core to all DevOps journeys and we are seeking a leader to help bring enthusiasm and experience-based guidance to our team and further evolve the DevOps culture of our larger organization . The team you wil l join The DevOps and Data Insights teams form part of the RnD Core Operations department. We deliver platforms and tooling that development teams consume to successfully build and release code and services. Within our team specifically you can expect a mix of in office collboration and remote work. We have skill sets ranging from IT operations, software development, and data infrastructure and reporting. Your Res ponsibilities and Attributes Technical Leadership and Solution DesignGrow the portfolio of data analysis and reporting capabilities offered by the Data Insights team. These address the hunger for operational, security, and work management information necessary to efficiently and securely delivery AVEVA products.Build strong collaborative relationships that d rive effective engagement with key RnD stake holders. This includes RnD Executive Leadership through to the factory floor of development teams, peer managers, and senior RnD lead ers .Own the Data Insights team backlog . Use a data driven approach to aid effective prioritization and consistent work delivery aligned to Agile principles.Lead you r teams d esign, develop ment , and modification of data infrastructure . This should accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting to reduce decision making cycle times.Passion for data analysis and problem solving. Uses your innate curiosity to decompose complex business relationships and process problems into actionable work . Pair this with c reative problem-solving skills .Work with employees to coordinate work activities and resolve issues through participation in day-to-day tasks with the team .Help execute and contribute to the vision and strategy provided by the Director of DevOps and Data Insights. Coaching and MentoringInspire a collaborative approach by fostering a safe environment to experiment and learn through failing fast.Provide regular direction, mentorship, and coaching to team members and third-party resources.Bring a growth mindset and help grow forward-thinking engineers and partners.Conduct one - on - one conversations with your team members on a regular cadence and s et team performance and skill growth goals.Demonstrate solid c ommunicat ion skills through effective meeting management, presenting technical information in concise form, and speaking as needed at occasional town hall style meetings.Hir e , grow, and retain engineering talent to maintain high standards. Agile Delivery and ExecutionSolid working k nowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle . Understand its relevance relative to your teams needs to improve story telling through data to aid improved decision making .Proven ability to use Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban , etc.) to deliver results on an incremental cadence.Have a sharp eye for details with a hands-on and continuous improvement attitude to identify inefficiencies and design improvement processes.Experience developing and improving operational documentation, procedures, and workflows.Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams, peers, and business stakeholders.Excellent analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills .Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies .Strong communication and organization skills for demoing solution designs . Drive an automated approach to testing and releas e processes for report publishing to production environment s . Technology and Systems KnowledgeUnderstanding of data architecture and tools . This includes strong experience with Microsofts Power BI reporting services and equivalent visual data story telling t ools and platforms .Knowledge of Azure based data infrastructure resources for storage (Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Lake , etc. ) and data processing and analysis services (e.g. D ata Factory , Pu r view, Synapse Analytics, Stream Analytics, etc. )Experience using SDLC platforms as a source of work management telemetry. Azure DevOps is strongly preferred or equivalent platforms for deployment and release management is a must .Experience operating and reporting in compliance environments, particularly those leveraging NIST frameworks and standards is a plus.Familiarity with Microsofts Power Platform and its use to aid targeted business workflow s is useful . Desired ExperienceE xperience in leadership and management (5+ years). Experience in data research, data-entry or data management will be an advantage.Proven t rack record of t ak ing a stakeholder-centric approach to everything you generate and have deliver ed value back to your customers at a steady cadence. Executed projects in an o rganized, efficient, highly autonomous, and proactive manner .Motivated previous teams with a p ositive c an- d o attitude and empathy .Demonstrated s olid written and verbal skills to capture core requirements over pure stated implementation requests.
