Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician''s general duties focus primarily on keeping the working areas of our building orderly, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. This includes caring for the exterior of the building as well. Duties are not solely determined by a schedule. Responsibilities include responding to matters of urgency when called upon and assisting with other various tasks as they may arise. The Maintenance Technician must have the ability to work on their own and make minor decisions regarding an assortment of issues that may need attention. Duties:Notify managers concerning urgent needs relating to building & grounds maintenance.Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.Gather and empty trash.Keep entry doors and surrounding glass clean.Service and supply restrooms periodically as needed.Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.Work with small irrigation systems.Monitor building security and safety.Be aware of fire extinguisher inspections and other regulatory requirements.Perform other tasks as assignedAttributes and Skills:Proven maintenance experienceAbility to maintain focus while working individuallyStrong time management skillsEye for detailAbility to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenchesAbility to stand, crouch, kneel and use a step ladder as neededAbility to lift and manipulate materials and or tools weighing 40 poundsAbility to read and interpret written work orders and record simple logs & reportsUnderstand best practices safety procedures and related regulations, laws, etc.Benefits for full-time employees:Minimum Essential Coverage planHealth Savings AccountDental & Vision insuranceHealth Share Program401k with 6% employer matchJob Type: Full-time requiredSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMPay: $15.00 per hourBalance of Nature is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
