Why You Matter:As a Machine Tool Operator, you will be an integral part of our team producing our Lantech Stretch wrappers. You will be working with saws and drill presses that machine the necessary steel parts used to craft the Semi-Automatic stretch wrappers. These machines contribute directly to the supply line that moves essential goods around the country and the rest of the world.Here''s a Glimpse at What you''ll Do:As a Machine Operator Lvl 1 - Saw at Lantech, you will:Be running a horizontal band saw and cutting material to a specific length.Use a drill press to drill and tap holes to the designated size.Read a tape measure.Follow standardized work to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.Order materials according to the ''cut list''. Load and unload carts to move parts. Stand 9-10 hours per day.Occasionally lift loads up to 50 lbs. What are We Looking For? (Requirements)We are looking for someone who:Is able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Is capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs. Is willing and able to train to operate a Raymond fork truck to move steel. Is able to complete basic mathematical operations.Is focused on work with a high commitment to achieving quality and schedule goalsIs a self-directed individual with good interaction skillsIs able to self-identify problems and support problem solving / solutions Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, and safety and ability to work effectively within the fast-paced environment.Has sustained a record of good attendance. Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and capable of adapting to a varied work environment. Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines. Is customer focused on a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.Is legally authorized to work in the U.S. Education & Experience:Machining experience is strongly preferred.
