May be responsible for assisting with administration of medication and treatments. Accurate reporting and documentation of resident status and care needs information.Assist resident''s attending physician during visits/rounds as needed.Report to physicians residents'' condition changes, etc., as indicated.Will schedule and obtain laboratory specimens as ordered by the physician or Medical Director.Will assist with follow-through or may initiate precautionary measures in case of suspected infection in cooperation with the DONAssign personnel and make staff adjustments according to needed coverage to meet resident needs.Responsible for supervision of nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAsMaintain an open line of communication with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, Nurse Managers, other departments and consulting agencies of residents'' status and needs and staff and unit needs. Responsible for notifying residents'' primary contact if residents'' status changes.Ensure that established policies and procedures including dress codes are followed by departmental personnel.Perform any other pertinent duties as assigned by the DON or Administration.
