DUTIES:Meet the nursing medical needs of all residentsResponsible for Wound/Skin Rounds weeklyAssist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff24 hours on callCoordinate and direct the total planning for nursing servicesResponsible for employee health and staff educationServe as day shift supervisorMaintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practiceResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical recordsAssist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staffOversee daily staffing processMaintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needsHave familiarity with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and proceduresResponsible for overseeing the educational needs of the staff (staff development and improvement processes) to meet NYSDOH & other regulatory mandatesREQUIREMENTS:Current New York RN license requiredMin. 3 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings2 years of management experience preferred1-year staff education experience preferredExcellent Communication Skills requiredEvidence of basic leadership skills and supervisionFlexible hours required
