Various funds are offered approximately 2 times per year. In this role you will be responsible for managing outside regulatory counsel and ensuring BCG complies with legal, regulatory and risk elements associated with operating a +1B find employee only fund family.You will proactively partner across legal, tax and the Partner Services Teams to deliver investment opportunities to BCG, owning and driving all legal issues to maintain current investment offerings and thought partner on perspective and new offerings - owning compliance for the funds and ensuring they operate in a robust and current compliance framework.Among other things, you will:Drive legal issues related to transfer of fund ownership, compiling legal documents during fund offerings and supporting various other legal issues as they related to fund operations.Support BCG''s partnership and merger and acquisition activities - especially with regard to minority equity investments and BCG''s partnerships with external investment funds such as B Capital (and Breakthrough Energy (general corporate, transactional and commercial legal support;Take ownership of discreet legal initiatives as they arise based upon changing business priorities, such as launching new investment options for BCG employees;Be experienced in quickly and independently spotting issues, managing complex governance issues, transactions and other legal issues;Contribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team intellectual property, including template forms and other materials; andPerform other duties as assigned or required;YOU''RE GOOD ATExcellent communicator, able to quickly and clearly define issues and solutions to non-legal clients;Superior analytical skills and creative problem solving ability, with an appreciation for striking a practical balance between business and legal objectives;Knowledge of investment industry act, laws and regulations around operating registered investment advisors and various SEC exemptions;Understanding of key concepts of how private equity and other investment funds operate;Talent for absorbing new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably and the flexibility to deal with a diverse international set of clients and advisors;The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of international laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of BCG''s global policies;A positive, dynamic, client-focused approach to legal practice;Perform successfully and produce results in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment;Be a pragmatic, high-energy professional, with personal and professional self-confidence;Being proactive, hardworking and a team player who leads by being persuasive and credible and has the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization; andHave the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization.YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)Graduate degree (J.D.) in Law from an accredited law school and admitted to practice;7+ years of legal experience with prior responsibility for investment fund activity and familiarity with applicable regulatory regimes;3-5 years with a reputable law firm; prior relevant in-house experience preferred;Excellent written and oral communication skills; andEnglish fluency.YOU''LL WORK WITHA variety of cohorts and functions across the company, including senior leadership, other members of the BCG Global Legal Team, and the partnership.
