If you truly want to make a difference, look into one of our rewarding careers!The schedule for this position is Wednesday-SaturdayAs a Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the shelter services program including procedures, leadership, assistance, support, and direction to staff at our Emergency Children''s Shelter.Shelter Supervisor Job Duties:Ensures that assigned shift follows Agency guidelines and policies, monitors staff and records to ensure compliance.Supervision of the Behavioral Health Technicians Evaluation of employee performanceParticipate in interview and selection of employeesTraining and development of Behavioral Health TechniciansCoordinates and directs Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure quality of care and supervision to adolescents.Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all youth and maintains awareness of each adolescent''s status at all times.Maintains safety, security and supervision of adolescents at all times in order to protect the well-being of all adolescents at the Agency.Build and maintain morale thus creating an atmosphere of problem solving and learning.Assists with admission and discharge of adolescents per Agency policies.Reports all emergencies, concerns of adolescents and building needs to the appropriate parties.Facilitates regular feedback, growth opportunities, and a structure for ongoing communication and collaboration.Assists in the implementation of procedures and protocol for efficient program functioning and utilization.Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with Agency staff, and outside Agency contacts.Attends and participates in Agency related meetings and trainings as appropriate.Models Center''s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.Qualifications:Advanced degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field and at least 2 years'' direct care experience in human services or a Bachelor''s degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field and 4 years'' direct care experience in human servicesMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have at least 1-year prior supervisory experience, preferably in a shelter or group home setting.Must have prior experience completing performance appraisals, facilitating disciplinary processes, providing coaching/feedback and interview/selection of candidatesMust have valid Arizona Driver''s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and be able to be added to agency auto policyMust be able to display excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have or able to obtain prior to employment a level one fingerprint clearance card
