Job DescriptionStrategic Business AnalystStrategic Business Analyst Raymour and Flanigan''s Strategic BA role provides analysis services to our business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the Business Support Teams, PMO and our business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer''s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. Excellent leadership skills, ability to lead, communication, critical thinking, analytical, thrive in a fast-paced environment and solid decision-making skills are vital to this position. Relationship Focus • Collaboration with business leaders, executives, and IT peers; driving prioritization, consensus and alignment across the enterprise. • Working within an Agile Business Support Team framework and Waterfall PMO structure. • Facilitating communication and collaboration with business support teams in both Waterfall and Agile environments in cooperation with business partners as enterprise level technology decisions are made. • Articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others. Responsibilities: • Analyzing potential projects, business strategies and models to determine their viability, as well as identifying and initiating corrections necessary to fix weaknesses in operational performance. • Support the initiation of projects driving the resolution of issues. • Ensure enterprise initiatives are vetted through the customer and associate lens while aligning ROI to fiscal expectations. • Review assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks. • Proven ability to elicit and clearly document Waterfall requirements and Agile user stories/use cases. • Engaging in mid-large size projects and assisting Product Owners Project Managers on largermore complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the market level. • Mentor to Associate Business Analyst on the team. Teach and coach in Business Analyst best practices. • Ability to create and execute SQL queries, understanding integrations such as API and SFTP.• Comfortable performing data analysis using databases.• Knowledge of SQL Queries, API implementations, and Postman.• Demonstrate expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices. • Dedicated to helping business stakeholders diagnose problems and understand needs by maintaining a deep awareness of how the business operation works. Assist stakeholders in exploring technology possibilities to more effectively execute their roles. • Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project progress and results. • Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences including senior management, peers and technical staff. • Provide project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, ROI) • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process. • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders. • Meet with PMO and Business Support teams regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines. • Must have experience working on large scale projects. • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills communication skills. • (A plus) Process Experience: Identifying, creating and facilitating process improvement design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement, inefficiencies and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies. o Determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
