JOB SUMMARYStarting October 15, 2021: As part of the Tribes continuing efforts to prioritize the health and wellbeing of its employees and those the Tribe serves, the Tribe will require that the individual who fills this role be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless medically unable to receive any COVID-19 vaccine. Rate: $18.00 This temporary position ends after one year.This is a grant-funded temporary position. The primary role of a ROW Peer Support Network Trainee is to assist their peers in articulating their goals for recovery, learning and practicing new skills, helping them monitor their progress, supporting them in their treatment, modeling effective coping techniques and outreach. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESArrives to work in a timely manner and maintains good attendance. Establishes and maintains positive and professional work relationships. Performs tasks as required for job assignment. Because of the Tribes commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each temporary employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities, and may include driving. EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITIONMust have a valid Peer Support Specialist certificate. Special Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check, a drug screen and meet all health and immunization requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be physically active for long periods of time. Employee will frequently be required to walk and stand for long periods of time; bend or twist body; perform repetitive movements; and use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet. Employee may have exposure to diseases, infections, and contaminants, which may require special protective gear.
