Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy Revolution Become a Senior Project Support Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you''ll be responsible for supporting projects through design and construction in support of the Clean Energy Project group. As the Electric Vehicle (EV) market continues to grow, commercial EV customers continue to increase their footprint by requesting new services or expansion of their existing services and require customer focus and support of their projects. Transportation Electrification (TE) is a critical strategic initiative for SCE and we are taking a leading role to ensure that TE plays a major part in the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) and criteria pollutant emissions in California. As a Senior Project Support Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future? A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright! Supports electric vehicle projects for commercial EV customers through the project management life cycle model. Completes the following tasks at the direction of the Project Manager: Field Verification assessments; Documentation for new submittals to the New Development Design Hubs; Scheduling of work orders to Regional Hubs for construction. Maintains continuous communication with various departments and outside vendors. Receives Preliminary/Final Designs, facilitate customer approval and communication with Design Hub. Interacts with customers, explaining program requirements and reviewing construction drawings. Ensure permits and easements are secured and all work order requirements are met when scheduling projects for construction with Districts or Regional Hubs. Provide project updates within database and report out to Manager and TEPM team. Build relationships with District and Regional scheduling contacts, Production Specialists, and Preconstruction Inspectors to ensure timely and successful project completion. Design site specific high level single line drawings. QualificationsThe essentials Five years of project management and/or project support experience. Valid Driver''s License. The preferred Experience with service planning principles, overhead/underground construction standards, and distribution design standards. Experience managing small to medium projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, managing vendors, and leading the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance. Direct experience performing project execution tasks such as identifying problems and solutions and providing input to project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project. You should know ... Work Mode: The position''s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
