Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy Revolution Become a Grid Interconnections Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you''ll lead a wide array of technical, legal and regulatory subject matter experts to resolve complex contractual challenges, facilitate technical studies, write study reports, prepare project plans related to large retail load and generation customers. This person will also negotiate interconnection agreements/amendments and contract disputes for those customers and, possibly, with other utilities such as LADWP, Nevada Power, PG&E. The Sr. Advisor will also facilitate strategies and recommendations and develop narratives to present to executive management for review/approval/consensus. As a Grid Interconnections Senior Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Leads engineering and an array of other technical, legal, and regulatory subject matter experts and management to develop consensus and action plans to resolve complex customer issues/challenges. Leads method of service studies funded by retail customers, compiles scope, cost and methodology narrative and publishes Method of Service (MOS) study reports. Establishes and documents procedures/policies, prepares power point presentations, white papers and other materials documenting those efforts and presents them along with recommendations to executive staff. Provides excellent customer service in coordination with Business Customer Account Managers. QualificationsThe essentials Ten years of experience supporting Electric Utility Interconnection process, Power Procurement process, Tariff projects/programs, Electrical Engineering, Planning, and/or electrical utility field project management. The preferred Bachelor''s degree. Five years of experience working with complex contract issues requiring Legal and/or Regulatory interpretation and resolution. Ability to write and prepare presentations that communicate complex issues in a manner that facilitates decisions and approvals by executive staff (A sample presentation may be required of candidates who are invited to interview). Proficient with Word, MS Project, Excel, or PowerPoint. Experience with managing contract portfolios. Experience leading and facilitating diverse teams to develop consensus, recommendations, and final decisions. Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should know ... Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position''s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
