In this job, you''ll build the future culture of SCE through training Edison''s drivers and Fleet Operation Employees, while helping shape the safety and skills foundation for Edison Drivers and Fleet Operation employees. You will be the subject matter expert for driver safety and Fleet training practices. As a Drive School and Vehicle Training, Sr. Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Facilitates training in a classroom environment as well as non-classroom environments such as field training. Work independently as well as part of a team Provides subject matter expertise on changes/improvements to work processes, curriculum, test materials, new technologies and procedures. Administers proctor classroom training tests and field assessments. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Maintains a safety conscious work environment by demonstrating and adhering to Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. Takes classroom attendance via Success Factors. Prepares classroom, training yard and materials to meet the needs of upcoming training modules such as CDL Training, TSD classes, Defensive Driving, off road, PowerPoint presentations, and audio & video functional. Reviews class participation, test & assessment results with students. Provides classroom/training yard support to other instructors, different department units, such as TSD engineering for equipment updates that will impact training curriculum. Maintains and fosters steady working relationship with Field Supervision, Support Specialist, Substation Supervision, and employees in TSD such as regional managers, garage foreman, Lead Technicians etc. QualificationsThe essentials Class A Commercial License Five years or more of overall experience in automotive repair and commercial driving The preferred Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and CHP procedures associated with heavy truck operations ASE Certifications, Master Truck or Master Automotive Developing training curriculum, and/or managing training deployment activities. Working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor''s degree. Designing and developing or delivering technical or nontechnical training courses for various skill levels and classifications. Experience with the instructional design process Working with cross-functional workgroups. Determining pass/fail criteria and corrective action/coaching paths. Engaging in continuous learning. You should know ... Work Mode: This position''s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. Works primarily out of the SCE testing and training facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Travel is required at times to facilitate training in other SCE locations as needed. Shift change may be required to accommodate TSD (Transportation Services Department) training classes Relocation does not apply to this position. Testing This position requires testing.
