Job Summary The MAT isinvolved in all stages of robotics production including BOM kitting, lab workspace setup, Electro-Mechanical assembly, testing, fixture setup and design using BOMs, assembly drawings, hand tools, torque wrenches, multi-meters and other typical equipment needed for this type of work. During the manufacture of robotic prototype systems,the MAT willassist other technicians in creating sub-assemblies and system integration projects from engineering and production drawings. For testing systems, you will use test plans and perform testing using a wide variety of common and custom equipment. Quality is always at the forefront atSarcos and we will look to you to exemplify quality through inspections of fabricated components and subsystems, incoming material, and general lab cleanliness and organization. TheMATreports to the Lab Supervisorand willsupport production needs, but also support mechanicalneeds, testing, and complete other duties as assigned. Traits and experiences beneficial to the position includeSolidworksand 3D Printing experience, as well as the ability to read and understand fundamentals of BOMs, drawings, tolerances, and assemble procedures.The MAT worksin a lab environmentandmay be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the day. While we strive to honor employees work-life balance, occasional overtime may be necessaryin order tomeet pressing deadlines and travel to customer sites for demonstrations may be required on an infrequent basis. The candidate will meet the following minimum positionrequirements:Associates degree (or equivalent work experience)Assembly experience with tight tolerance, high precision electro-mechanical assembliesusing BOMs and assembly drawingsin addition to ESD handling experienceAbility to read and understand fundamentals of BOMs, drawings, tolerances, and assembly proceduresExpertise in troubleshooting electro-mechanical systemsExperiencewith fixture design, fixture setup, testing, and quality reportsU.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency tocomply withgovernment contracts Who WeAre We are a values-driven company that continuously strives to be great place to work.
