Job DescriptionProgram Director of Diagnostic Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging ProgramCardiology FacultyPenn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Program Director of Diagnostic Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging Program located in Hershey, PA. The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized academic leader with a substantial record of leadership, clinical and administrative accomplishments, education scholarship, and research productivity and teaching experience. We are seeking diagnostic cardiologists with a strong background in imaging and prior administrative and leadership experience. Strong candidates with expertise in any non-invasive area of cardiology, administrative and leadership experience will also be considered. Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, manage, mentor and develop faculty and staff. Candidates must hold the degree of MD, DO, or equivalent, be Board-certified in Cardiology, and possess qualifications for a tenure track academic appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The program director will direct the largest program in the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute, which includes multiple clinical, teaching and research programs in cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery and Interventional Radiology. An active structural heart disease, nuclear cardiac, CT and cardiac MRI programs exist in our academic health center with medical student, resident and fellowship training programs. The Penn State Health System offers an academic practice with clinical material and support to sustain an academic career. The cardiology division currently has over 40 full-time faculty members in addition to Advanced Practice Providers as part of an integrated Heart and Vascular Institute which has over 80 full-time faculty.
