Job Description

The Director of Sales Operations provides forward-looking insights to all Paycom Sales divisions. The Director is responsible for oversight and optimization of the companys sales KPI reporting, internal system development strategy, go-to-market strategy, process improvement, and administrative functions. The support provided by this role in building and scaling back-end systems and processes enables field sales leadership to focus more of their time on supporting their teams and driving results.A successful Director of Sales Operations will be an inclusive leader with proven experience managing and motivating a large team to reach their maximum potential, both individually and as a group.RESPONSIBILITIESLead multiple teams across process improvement, sales insights, and administrative functions, with a player/coach mentality that creates a positive, cohesive culture across all areas of sales operations.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, working closely with the field sales management teams to inspect process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Manage the implementation of Customer Relationship Management enhancements and other innovative technologies to drive efficiency and revenue growth for the sales divisions.Oversee the preparation and delivery of sales performance and productivity reporting and analytics associated with sales force alignment, account expansion, new product launches, cross selling, competitor analysis, and territory optimization.Use data driven insights to build operational infrastructure and standards with simplified and repeatable processes to deliver growth at scale.Coordinate forecasting, planning, budgeting, quoting and processes used within the sales organization, maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency. Strategize, prepare, coordinate, and support all new product and process launches. Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business and department goals are met.Partner with the sales training team to develop and maintain operational training of sales systems and processes for sales new hire on-boarding program.Lead, develop, and retain a high performing team; communicate company and business goals, set goal expectations and measure success.Education/Certification:Bachelors degree in business management, sales, or related fieldExperience:7+ years of leading a sales operations function Proven success managing a large team including both direct and indirect reportsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification:Masters degree in businessExperience:3+ years of experience in a quota-driven roleSKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to coach, motivate, and manage large teamsStrong analytical, organizational and quantitative capabilities. Building processes at scale and familiar with automation.Enjoy designing processes that serve the needs of the organization and its participants.Technical and fluent in data, including familiarity with data set analysis using systems such as SQL or Power BI. Proficient in CRM reporting and business processes.Ability to quickly identify, resolve, and develop alternate solutions to problems.Experience working in a highly matrixes organization and/or function.Proven ability to implement best in class processes focused on delivering business results.Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience.
