Job DescriptionThe main objective of the Banquet Captain is to supervise the floor, make sure food is presented neatly, served on time and that all functions are coordinated properly. ResponsibilitiesAssist Banquet Supervisor and Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department. Responsible for controlling all of the aspects in the execution of banquet functions. Effectively supervise the Banquet staff during all food and beverage services. Coordinating every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage services. Ensures appropriate setup of functions, including opening and closing duties. Ability to understand and complete all paperwork such as consumption reports, safety checklist reports. Responsible for adhering to all Omni and Trinity F&B Services policies and procedures. Responsible for adhering to all liquor liability laws and all policies relating to them. Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings. Must attend BEO meetings when possible. Oversee all equipment to ensure proper function and cleanliness. Assist with banquet and bar setup and breakdown procedures. Maintain an awareness of all functions, events and meetings taking place at any given time. Perform any other duties assigned by management. QualificationsMust be a team player. Possess a Can Do attitude. Must have 3-4 year Banquets experience. Must have experience in handling beverages. Must be flexible. Must be able to deal with cash and coin transactions.
