ResponsibilitiesTexoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC''s role as a regional specialty center.The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Nurses demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for competent, safe and professional practice.Position Summary: A registered professional who provides occupational therapy to patients. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well being. Evaluates occupational roles and occupational performance of patients with physical, psychosocial and/or cognitive impairments. Provides intervention to deficits and elicits responses. Participates in the coordination of care.Qualifications Current OT license valid for the state in which services are provided. Current driver''s license, auto liability and AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program at hire. Reliable transportation required. Therapy skills defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
