Lead Clinical Nurse - Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit Requisition : 565666 Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital Nursing, Baltimore, MD 21201 Category: Nursing Work Shift: Day Shift Work Week: Full Time Weekend Work Required: Yes Date Posted: Aug. 3, 2022The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is a 32 bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate levels of care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass, Heartmate© II or III & Heartware© mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation. During the week there is an experienced resource nurse available to assist with admissions/discharges, transport monitoring, and emergencies. New graduate nurses will have a 16 week comprehensive orientation that includes core department of surgery classes. Shifts : 12 hour day shift Qualifications: BSN or MSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program. Applicants with an Associate''s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
