Rosecrance served nearly 50,000 clients last year.Position Purpose:We are seeking an Access Counselor to provide assessments, case management and admission planning services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.Schedule: Mon.-Fri.; 8AM-5PM; On-call RotationJob Requirements:Bachelor''s Degree in a health-related field plus and two years addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Master''s Degree preferred; Second level clinical license required for Therapist title.Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (tCADC/CADC/IADC/IAADC).Qualifications:Demonstrated clinical competency in assessments and admissions.Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames plete Iowa DHS Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training within 30 days of start date.Proficient working with Microsoft Office products.Bi-lingual skills (preferred).Essential Responsibilities:Handle all First Contact calls and assess telephonically to determine appropriateness for treatment, level of care, and special needs.Schedule and conduct assessment interviews with potential clients and their significant others.Formulate initial diagnostic impression and appropriate recommendations for level of care placement.Provide case management and counseling services to assigned clients.Utilize intervention skills as required to place the client in the appropriate level of treatment services.Maintain knowledge of community, school and recovery resources in order to make appropriate interagency referrals as required.Provide networking, linkage and follow-up with referral sources.Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. assessments, admissions).Meet with all individuals being admitted to inpatient treatment and provide warm hand-off to admissions clinician whenever possible.Have Client Accounts Representative meet with the client if needed to discuss co-pay and get down payment when appropriate.Confirm that client has medications and appropriate medical records needed for admission.Conduct pre-certification call for insurance if needed.Notify appropriate staff of client status during admissions process.Ensure that client health records are maintained consistent rules and regulations.Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled or when necessary.Serve as a member of the Access Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.Understand and comply with all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.Job Type: Full-timePay: Based on education, experience and credentialsStarting rate for Bachelors - $21.11/hourStarting rate for Masters - $24.44/hourAdditional $.50/hr with CADC certificationAdditional $1.50/hr inpatient differentialBenefits:Health insurance with multiple plan options to meet your needsFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings Account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) plan with employer match and discretionary employer contributionGroup Life Insurance including LTD and AD&DTuition assistance (qualifications apply)Licensure/certification reimbursement (qualifications apply)Paid Time OffReferral programWellness planRosecrance is an equal opportunity employer.Work Location: Rosecrance Jackson Centers- Sioux City, Iowayear(s): Human Services EducationRequiredBachelors or better in Human Services or related fieldLicenses & CertificationsRequiredIA-CADC
