Job DescriptionWork with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM''s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. Please include this Job ID: 169919 in the subject line of the email.ResponsibilitiesOracle Managed Cloud Service is seeking a Cloud Database Administrator with 10 to 12 years of experience to work with our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Support Team. The successful candidate will use their hands-on operational experience to handle day to day database operational needs, address complex performance issues, resolve database and grid outage / instability, Support Golden Gate installations, Disaster Recovery environments, handle complex cloud outages and instabilities, design and implement the automation solution to improve the operational efficiencies on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and on legacy data centersThe role requires, Advance database knowledge (Performance Tuning, Backup, Restore, Recovery, Disaster Recovery, RAC, Grid, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump) , Good experience with Golden Gate micro services, Solid understanding and experience on Exadata, experience with cloud computing (preferably OCI ATP, OCI Exadata, OCI VM DBaaS, LB, OSS) , Capacity Planning, Complex performance review and tuning (OS, Database) ,Experience with Linux operational support, Experience on cloud infrastructure automation with Ansible, Salt, Terraform, Python. Additional skills with networking and services running on cloud platforms will be beneficial. The roles focus will combine operational support, performance handling and automated solutions for infrastructure and services by leveraging their DEVOPS / DBA skills.You will deliver the solutions that directly contribute to our esteem customers success. Other duties include researching, proofing OCI cloud services, their features for improving operations and authoring technical documentation that are beneficial to the company and the team.What will you doAct as ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Classic environments for database, Application and infrastructure areas.Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and the dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations.Handle Complex Performance issues (database and non-database), Complex Outages and Instability In cloud, Trouble shoot Grid / ASM failuresRole is not limited to database and infrastructure, understating of the application interaction with Database and product, and troubleshoot application issuesBackup, Restore and recover databasesDeploy and Support Golden Gate installationsDeploy and Support Disaster RecoveryWork on Deep SQL Optimization, database parameter optimizationUse your experience and wisdom from building & running systems and infrastructures as a multiplier to drive operational improvements to support our customers infrastructure.Optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for maximum performance, scalability and reliability.Serve as part of a 24x7 customer SaaS support team.Identify problems and/or opportunities for customer cloud infrastructure support.Use your excellent written & oral communication skills to communicate our customers effectively.Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.Mandatory Qualifications10+ years of experience in Database Administrator5+ years of experience in compute, network, storage troubleshooting for improving capacity, reliability, scalability, availability working as a site reliability engineer5+ years of experience to manage and lead the complex performance, SQL, environment optimization and stability projects on cloud scale5+ years of experience to manage Exadata systemsExperience working with Oracle ATP databases2+ years of experience with Golden Gate Microservices, Golden Gate Cloud Services4+ years of experience with Enterprise level monitoring systemsSolid Experience on Grid / ASM outage handling, Database outage handling, RMAN, Datagaurd, RAC1+ years of experience on Oracle OCIProficient in cloud infrastructure technologies and automation.System Administration including Linux / windows internals, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing technologies.
