Responsibilities: * Design, layout and test of RF/microwave integrated circuits.* Collaborate with digital, hardware, package, and board designers to specify and meet design specifications.* Provide layout supervision and/or able to create your own IC layouts of circuit blocks and perform layout verification of designs (DRC/LVS) when needed.* Perform bench evaluation, correlation and characterization of design.* Provide mentoring to younger engineers.* Create documentation of design projects. Desired Skill Set: * Bachelor''s degree and 5+ years of related experience or Master''s and/or PhD degree and 3+ years of related experience.* Solid understanding and experience designing one or more circuit blocks including PA, LNA, PLL, VCO/DCO, LOGEN, Mixers, Baseband Filters, Amplifiers, Switches, Phase Shifters, and Attenuators.* Deep understanding of CMOS device physics, RF device modeling, device noise parameters and inductor modeling.* Understanding of analog design concepts such as analysis of noise, linearity, mismatch, and stability.* Familiarity with packaging effects, supply isolations, high frequency ESD structures, and circuit layout for optimum RF performance.* Ability to carry a design through the full design cycle including specification, schematic design, simulation, layout, physical extraction, and hardware testing.* Experience in design at advanced CMOS process nodes (FinFET) as well as SiGe BiCMOS technologies.* Experience with III-V technologies (InP, GaN, GaAs) is a plus.* Experience is Cadence design tools (Virtuoso, Spectre/Spectre RF, EMX, AWR Microwave Office, PVS), Mentor Calibre, and Matlab.* Experience in performing physical IC layouts is a plus.* Familiarity with analog mixed-signal circuits such as voltage regulators, amplifiers, comparators, data converts is a plus.* Ability to work independently in a research environment.* US Citizenship required.* Current Secret/TS SCI clearance or able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance per business requirements.
