ICF seeks a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer who will work with a cross-functional team to build modern digital health services. The 5-year project goal is to achieve better health care, improving population health and lowering cost through enhancements in care. A new five-year contract working on the QIO Deliverable Invoice and Vouchering Systems (QDIVS) as part of CMSs Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program, one of the largest federal programs dedicated to improving health quality for Medicare beneficiaries, is an integral part of HHS National Quality Strategy for providing better care and better health at lower cost. The mission of the QIO program is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, economy, and quality of services delivered to Medicare beneficiaries. This is accomplished through two core contract functions: quality improvement and case review. These functions include reducing disparities in access and quality for priority populations, increasing use of health information technology, reducing adverse events related to health care- acquired infections, increasing care efficiency by promoting value within the health system, and improving the quality of life for patients nearing the end of life by alleviating pain with palliative care measures.This position will have a heavy focus on converting manual test plans to automated tests by developing and maintaining new automated tests for our current test suites built on Cypress, Mocha, and Chai. This role requires the ability to understand complex systems and data; both from the user perspective and the technology perspective while independently investigating problems. Key Responsibilities:Ensure the overall quality of all aspects of a complex software system, including data, APIs, and web application Perform automated and manual testing on web-based applicationsWork with developers and other automation engineers to create and maintain automation frameworksTest and debug web-based software including the use of in-browser development toolsShape the overall QA process through the application of best practices and new approaches to testing workflowBasic Qualifications:Associates Degree with 7+ years of software testing experience5+ years experience with different types of testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Performance, Load, etc.) on web-based applicationsSolid understanding of Software Configuration Management concepts and methodologiesWeb Accessibility (508) experienceProficiency in at least one source control tool such as GitExperience with Load, Stress, and Performance testing with tools such as Artillery.io Locust.io, Jmeter or GooseExperience with devOps processes and setting up local environments with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.Hands-on experience with front-end automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, NightwatchJS, Puppeteer, or PlaywrightJavaScript, PHP, C, or JAVA programming experienceMust live in the United States and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:BS with 5+ years of experience in a software testing role or an MS in Computer Science and 3+ years of experience in a software testing roleExperience building automation frameworks from scratch in Node, NPM or PythonHands-on experience with different test case management tools such as TestRailsExperience with integrating automated testing into CI/CD processesExperience with the JAWS accessibility toolExperience with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA/Confluence)Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL database concepts preferred and testing of ETLsHands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia or PawDemonstrated experience working on Agile development projectsProfessional Skills:Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skillsComfortable supporting a high-velocity teamDemonstrated time management skills.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.SB-22Working at ICFWorking at ICF means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of our day.
