Description Job Description:Experienced Civil-Site EngineerLeidos is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our site/civil department in our growing Orlando Florida office to work on a variety of electric utility projects. Typical projects involve site/civil design engineering for both large and small scale utility projects. Candidates who have commercial/industrial site development experience will also be considered for the position.This position will ideally be staffed at the Leidos office in Orlando, FL. However, the following locations will also be considered for this position:Portland, ORChicago, ILHendersonville, TNNovi, MIFramingham, MACharlotte, NCThis position may also be filled 100% remotely contingent upon a candidate''s experience level and skills.Key Responsibilities:Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and/or federal regulations and permit requirementsResearch additional site data through various sourcesSite layout, grading, and drainage designStormwater modeling and designErosion and sediment control designAccess road designUtility coordination and designRetaining wall layout and designDocumentation of all supporting calculationsQuantity take-offsConstruction drawingsConstruction specificationsConstruction observation and field engineeringCoordination and collaboration with other design disciplinesRequired Experience & Education:Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of two (2) + years of directly applicable civil-site design experienceExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software (considered)Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programsProficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software toolsStrong analytical and technical writing skillsTeam player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staffAble to execute projects and handle clients successfully with limited supervisionWilling to travel occasionally, up to 25%Authorized to work in U.S.Preferred Qualifications:P.E. license preferredThree (3) or more years of experience preferredPDSLINEPowerDeliveryPay Range:Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
