The Production Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues, personnel issues and report back to the General Manager. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company''s policies and applicable laws.Supervisory Responsibilities:- Directly reports to the General Manager- Interviewing, selection, and hiring, training new and existing employees, planning, assigning and directing work, and authoring and discussing with employees performance appraisals- Addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations- Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed- Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues- Run a safe, injury/accident free workplace- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints- Work closely with GM and Op''s Director team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation- Communicate all operating issues at department meetings- Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively- Works closely with Human Resources on day to day employee issues such as performance, attendance, team work, safety policies are being met and followed- Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports- Performs other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:- Qualified candidates will have background in aviation (specifically in aviation manufacturing/component repair or LRU accessory overhaul & repair experience)- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Education and Experience:- Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration required.- Extensive and diversified background with at least 5 years of related experience in aviation, (specifically in aviation manufacturing/component repair or LRU accessory overhaul & repair experience)Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of standing/walking.- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Technical Requirements- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.- Strong management skills.- Working knowledge of PC''s- Working knowledge of company instructions, company processes, administrative policies and procedures, and export compliance regulations.- Several years of management experience in a manufacturing and/or remanufacturing environment.
