We believe in creative thinking and collaboration to help build a better mobility experience for everyone, improving people''s ability to move - whether for work or play.What we do: The Battery CAE Engineer is responsible for building engineering analytical tools leading to the design and optimization of a safe and high-performance battery system. The position collaborates closely with engineers from multi-functional teams of battery cell, battery system, battery management system, battery control and thermal.What you can do:Develop CAE simulation tools to support battery system structural design and analysisDevelop CFD models to support battery system thermal design and analysisDevelop models for structural, thermal, and electrical analysis at battery cell levelDesign testing methods and performing necessary tests to validate developed modelsDevelop in-house analytical tools to perform sophisticated CAE simulationsUsing design models to support with creating component''s requirements for technical documents such as specifications and DFMEAWork with battery system engineer to conduct optimization studies to provide battery system solutions that meet development''s targetsWhat you can contribute:Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Physics/Applied Mathematics/other relevant Engineering fieldA minimum of three (3) years of applied experience in CFD and/or FEA with high analysis skills from multidisciplinary CAE domains: mechanical, thermal, multiphase CFD (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)Excellent applied experience in CATIA or Solidworks for 3D CAD design and modelingExperience in HV battery design and optimizationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust have the ability to independently prioritize and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and driven personalityStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals - fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamicsProficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python for multi-physics modellingProven experience in HV battery mechanical and thermal design and optimizationKnowledge of Li-ion battery cell and cell''s structureProven understanding of optimization techniques & application to CAE and product design (i.e. multidisciplinary design optimization, DOE/RSM, topology optimization)DO-160 and DO-311 familiarity, preferredYou may also be able to contribute:Master''s and/or PhDRelevant working experience in aviation industryWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
