Position OverviewThe incumbent serves as the AGA lead for individual company Peer Reviews which are in-person assessments of AGA''s gas-utility members'' procedures, policies, and operating practices. In-person Peer Reviews take place over the course of 4-days at member company sites and focus on a pre-determined topic. The individual is responsible for preparing for the review, leading the review team, synthesizing the information received, quickly creating an executive report that reflects ideas and observations that have been articulated by the review team, and helping the team deliver the observations and recommendations verbally to the member company''s leadership team.Role and ResponsibilitiesServe as AGA''s lead for individual AGA member company peer reviews. AGA''s Enhanced Peer Review Program is a voluntary peer-to-peer safety and operational practices review program that allows local natural gas utilities to observe their peers, share leading practices and identify opportunities to further enhance safety and deliverability to customers and communities. AGA''s lead on a peer review will:Lead reviews for participating member companies throughout the U.S. and CanadaServe as AGA''s subject matter expert on some topics such as Safety Culture, Technical Training & Worker Procedures, Pipeline Safety Risk Management, Construction Contractor Relations, Damage Prevention, Emergency Management & Public Safety, Systems Records Management, Key Performance Indicators for Gas Operations, Pipeline Safety Management Systems (PSMS) Elements,Lead a subject review team during a company''s peer review, including keeping the team on time and task, asking questions of those being interviewed, ensuring the review team has all materials needed to effectively conduct the review, and serving as AGA''s liaison with the host companyDevelop daily summaries of a company''s review, based on input received from the subject matter experts participating in the review. Develop a full executive summary of the review team''s key observations and findings that can be used by the company executive conducting the host company''s debriefingIn advance of the peer review, participate in meetings with the subject matter experts administering a host company''s reviewStay abreast of industry developments. Qualifications and Education RequirementsExperience working with natural gas distribution and intrastate transmission systems.Awareness of regulations affecting the natural gas pipeline industry.Ability to clearly communicate technical issues, both orally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to develop and deliver presentations in public forums (conferences, meetings, workshops, etc.)Previous experience facilitating group discussions.Ability to travel domestically to member sites and to AGA HQ.
