OVERVIEWARCTOS is a rapidly growing Technology and Sustainment Solutions provider to space, defense, and intelligence customers worldwide. ARCTOS'' core competencies include: Engineering & Programmatic Services; Software Engineering; Logistics & Sustainment Services; Space Operations & Launch Support Services; Risk Management & Hazard Analysis; Advanced Materials & Additive Manufacturing; Training and Mentoring, and International Program Support.REQUIREMENTARCTOS is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of IT Director for the Company and to lead the IT Support Staff. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, hard-working, an efficient manager of time, capable of developing and implementing solutions, leading people, communicating effectively, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced growing corporate environment.The IT Director will also be responsible for requirements analysis, planning and integration of the ARCTOS IT environment, including communication, collaboration, enterprise resource planning, storage, and network systems. Additionally, the IT Director will be required to implement and expand appropriate compliant processes and procedures across the business to include handling of CUI, ITAR, NIST, ISO/ Quality Certifications, CMMC and other Customer driven requirements. The IT Director will work closely with, and support, other leaders across the organization to develop an IT Roadmap that enables a Company plan to all operational and support functions and merge existing business operating systems of record. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:Design, develop and maintain one integrated IT system across the corporate staff and all business units. The integrated IT system shall provide collaborative tools, software, hardware and support that enable and enhance the delivery of material and services for the entire Company at all locations. Develop and implement one integrated set of IT policies and procedures across the Company. The IT system, policies and procedures shall comply with all applicable US Government operational and security requirements.Oversee, coordinate and execute required compliance audits to include ISO certification or other customer required IT system audits. IT Support StaffOrganize, hire and direct the work activities of the IT support staff.Provide focus, accountability and evaluate job performance of IT staff to ensure effectiveness.Provide training and development for IT staff.Establish IT staff goals and objectives and ensure that IT operations contribute to the attainment of Company goals and objectives.Develop, administer, and monitor the annual budget for the IT department.Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals.Manage implementation of network security at the corporate level across multiple offices and computing environments.Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.Manage all IT subcontractor relationships while ensuring that all information systems operate in compliance with internal and legal regulations.Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.Develop, implement, and maintain all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.Provide expertise and support during system upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance.Oversee the management of Company-wide help desk activities and resolve escalated issues when necessary.Oversee the planning and management of the company''s telephone system and manage company-wide upgrade municate relevant IT-related information and advise superiors on strategic IT and business operating system of record activities.Perform accurate inventory and configuration control of all IT equipment and software/apps including mobile systems.Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Recent successful experience analyzing IT requirements and then developing and implementing complex business operating systems of record in support of operational and support staff functions.High level understanding of and ability to manage network, systems, and hardware systems. Strong organizational, time management, and forecasting skills.Ability to think ahead and plan over a 12-24 month time span.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Must be detail oriented and capable of completing multiple time-sensitive tasks.Must thrive in fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, license provisioning, and basic hardware procurement decisions.EDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Required: Bachelor''s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field; or 5 years of successful equivalent experience as an Information Technology Director or equivalent position in an organization with greater than 200 IT end-points and associated workplace software licenses.Preferred: Advanced Degree(s)Required: Must be a US Citizen; Possess, or be able to obtain, a Secret security clearance or higher.PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards.Strong drive and resilience.Action and result oriented.Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels.Willingness and demonstrated ability to see things through to the end.Team player who is comfortable working with other professionals.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENTPrimarily an office environment. JOB TYPE: Full-time LOCATION: Arlington VA (Northern Virginia) or Dayton, Ohio with remote working flexibility.
