Warehouse Safety Coordinator

Your main goal will be to always ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents and ensure employees are following all safety policies and procedures.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm, with some flexibility to meet business needs.. Pay is $22/hr.Essential Responsibilities* Plan and implement safety policies and programs* Provide high level of communication written and verbal* Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics* Coordinate safety meetings* Adhere to all company standards, rules and regulations* Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety* Conduct risk assessment* Enforce preventative measures (CAPA)* Verify all employees are conducting their behavior in adherence with rules and regulations* Prepare and present reports on accidents, near missed and safety violations and determine causes as well as corrective actions* Identify and train employees regarding all safety measures including accident reporting* Identify potential hazards in the workplace and resolve* Examine the causes of incidents* Investigate employee accidents and injuries* Participate in the planning and leading of monthly safety meetings* Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.Basic Qualifications (Required)* 2 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role* Excellent knowledge of regulations and procedures* Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices* Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics* Outstanding organizational skills* Critical thinker and problem-solving skills* Team player* Good time-management skills* Great interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications* Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety preferred* Certificate in occupational health and safety preferred* Bilingual in Spanish a plusTravel Requirements* Minimal travel may be requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* 100% stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp* 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception* 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment* 10%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting* Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance* Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistanceWhy Work with Us?We offer competitive wages, shift premium, and benefits.
