The Account Resolution Specialist II will effectively resolve issues that inhibit the timely payment of balances on assigned accounts while building lasting relationships with our account base (many Fortune 1,000 companies) and the internal staff with the goal of minimizing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and delinquent invoices. The Account Resolution Specialist II will work to become proactive in his/her approach as he/she develops relationships with the customer base as well as with key internal partners. Communication will be primarily through emails and phone calls to identify what is needed to assist the customer in finalizing payment. Responsibilities: Working with the customers and internal partners, investigate unpaid invoices to determine what is causing the non-payment or reduced payment on assigned accounts.Facilitate the steps needed to resolve issues, i.e., billing corrections, missing documentation, validating delivery, etc. Proactively communicate with key areas to prevent future barriers to timely payment of invoices.Build strong relationships with customers.Build relationships with all members of the Werner team, in particular the sales force, customer service, and peers.Take all appropriate actions to facilitate payments to minimize bad debt expense, while maintaining a productive and mutually satisfactory relationship with the customer.Maintain all necessary customer data fields in our receivables system.Work on special projects as needed.Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. Qualifications: High School or equivalent (GED) requiredAccounts Receivable experience, preferredAbility to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.Ability to talk on the phone to customers, both pleasant and unpleasant, develop relationships, and be persistent.
