Job DescriptionThe Executive Analytics and Corporate Insights team in the Medical Economics Unit is seeking an actuarial professional with the primary role of leading COVID-19 analytics & reporting across the Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business. Additionally, this position will support enterprise strategy by developing materials and exhibits to support the Monthly Operating Review (MOR) to inform Aetna's leadership team of emerging medical cost trends & notable trend drivers. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment and gain exposure to many senior leaders (VPs & above) through collaboration and communication of results in the form of standard reporting and ad hoc analyses.Fundamental Components/Job Description: Perform complex medical and financial cost analysis to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 related medical costs across all of Aetna's lines of business Evaluate emerging medical cost performance of Aetna's fully insured business on a date of service (DOS) basis, identifying and sizing drivers of variance versus expectations Develop medical cost and utilization materials for Monthly Operating Review, working directly with Medical Economics Unit Vice President to ensure alignment across multiple business units Provide commentary, insight, and analysis related to medical costs to Investor Relations in support of the CVS public quarterly earnings release and analyst call Utilize strong communication skills to present highly complex information to audiences of varying expertise; a strong candidate will tailor their communication based on the audience A highly successful analyst will demonstrate the capability to identify and analyze drivers of internal and external medical cost trends and propose scenarios upon which a variety of cost saving actions can be taken Apply technology to improve business processes and compliance and actively participate in the change management process related to emerging technologies and dataPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 60,300Maximum: 126,600Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
