Our acquisition of Scott System, a form liner and brick inlay manufacturer with a national market, is integral to our continued growth in the construction industry.We currently seek a high energy, self-motivated, innovative, organized and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team, working closely with sales, production and quality assurance to provide our customers with the highest quality production within the time frame promised.Excellent benefits are provided, including:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) AND 401(k) with company matchPaid time off, including vacation, paid sick leave and holidaysTuition reimbursement plan that pays 100% of continuing education expensesComprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance with an employer funded HSAFully paid life insurance and disability protection plansResponsibilities of the Engineering Manager include:Work closely with the senior management team to set the strategic vision for Access Anvil Corp.Manage the entire engineering team, motivating and coaching each member to work aggressively to provide exceptional support to the sales and production teams, prioritizing work and ensuring that all product specifications and deadlines are met.Work with the engineering team to reinforce that all associates at Access Anvil Corp. are responsible for customer satisfaction, acting with a sense of urgency, and taking ownership of tasks to completion.Once a sales order has been entered, ensure that accurate shop drawings are developed and distributed to the shop floor in a timely manner to guarantee an on-time delivery of the product(s).Ensure the sales team is provided with accurate information for the development of product quotations. Examples of information that may be requested are engineering and/or production hours, amount of materials needed, special purchased items that may be necessary, etc.Work closely with the Sales Dept. to develop and manage the production schedule based on customer requirements, order backlog and inventory levels.Assist all departments to ensure ISO 9000:2015 standards and any/all other certification compliance.Manage all drawing and detailing activities, content, resources, staff, standards, communications and subcontractors.Work directly with the customer, as needed, to discuss and evaluate design options.Work with sales, and production on the development of new products as well as modifications to existing products to improve product quality while minimizing the cost of manufacturing the product.Work with the senior leadership team to develop and introduce new manufacturing methods to the shop floor to improve production safety, quality and productivity.Seek continuous improvement to the workflow in the Engineering Dept. to enhance productivity and the quality of the work.Requirements for the Engineering Manager include:BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.Proficiency with Rhino or other modeling software as well as programming software such as MASTERCAM.Excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with ERP software required.5-10 years of management experience, directly motivating and encouraging other associates to produce high quality work in a timely manner.Strong sense of curiosity and interest in improving products and growing our business.Attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.Access Anvil Corp., a subsidiary company of The Fort Miller Group, Inc., was created in 1975 with a focus on the perimeter security industry.
