Our employees are our most valuable asset.Job DescriptionThe Product Manager will be responsible for assisting in the oversight, management, development, and positioning of assigned sub-adviser and investment strategies across distribution channels to ensure quality, marketability, and profitability. Primary Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible as lead manager on select sub-adviser relationships, managing all aspects of those relationships, including oversight; act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to both internal and external business partners, presenting to both clients and prospects Serve as liaison between Portfolio Management and Sales and Marketing teams to help position and market product line; effectively partner with Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, Marketing, and Retail and Institutional Sales teams to ensure that product positioning and message is consistent across all communication mediumsPresent products with sales teams to clients and prospects at both in-person meetings and conference calls; develop product sales ideas and campaigns for use by sales teams, including communication of current market conditions that may have a positive/negative impact on specific investment strategiesConduct quarterly portfolio reviews with portfolio management teamsParticipate in due diligence visits with current and prospective sub-advisors as appropriateSpecific Qualifications:Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline: MBA preferredMinimum 10 years financial services industry experienceNASD Series 7, 63, 65 licensing requires; progress toward other professional designations (i.e. CFA, CAIA) preferredStrong understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and economicsMust be strong team player, able to work closely Product colleagues at a collegial levelStrong analytical capabilitiesMust be able to communicate effectively on investment issues with portfolio managers and sales teamsSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skillsProficient understanding of a variety of database technologies including, but not limited to, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Simfund, and Zephyr StyleADVISORSelf-directed and motivated, with ability to work collaboratively with a variety of departments at all levels of the organizationCommitment to continuous learningAssist in the investment oversight of assigned managersLead internal sales calls on assigned products and portfolio managersLead and coordinate ESG related efforts on behalf of the firm and affiliatesCreate, publish, and communicate broad trends and positioning notes for top competitors to inform business strategy, and sales executionProduce and communicate portfolio attribution and drivers of Fund performance relative to benchmark and peer groupPartner with Sales/Marketing in writing and publishing of white papersProactively identify at-risk assets and develop communications to support asset retentionDevelop product content, positioning, and messaging as inputs into marketing and communication pieces (fact sheets, presentations, training materials, web updates, conference calls, Brainsharks, voicemail, flyers, competitive updates, white papers, etc.)Maintain a high level of competitive intelligence on each assigned strategy''s key competitors (performance & risk comparisons, products, services, marketing materials, market share movements, and new sales initiatives) and present findings to Senior Management and SalesProduce and analyze product and industry analytics and reports as neededPossess an in-depth understanding of all aspects of assigned product line, including investments, performance, distribution channels, product vehicle structures, fees, and competitionAssist in the preparation of reports as needed for the Investment Oversight Committee and Mutual Fund Board MeetingsWillingness to travel to meet with clients, prospects, attend industry and sales conferences, seminars, training classes, etc.
