Your challenges as Mechanical Design Leader... -Accountable for the deliverables of the Metier to ensure the success of the project. -Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting of Metier activities, with support of Metier Department Manager / Metier Team Leader. Accountable for: Complying with Mtiers processes and Design Rules: Plan, monitor and control activities according to Metier PD of responsible PG/PL following CLEAN Project Management In charge of the robust design / validation in line with the economical targets Review internal requirements, customer requirements, specifications Perform or support design calculations / simulations / coding / associated acceptance tests Apply standardization rules, exceptionally will request destandardizations based on justifications Responsible for Metier design review preparation Interface with the customer for the Metier content Report and escalate to the Product Technical Manager/Leader/Engineer and corresponding N+1 Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment, investments Establish detail breakdown of the activities to meet the milestones Follow activities and spending of scope to meet allowed budget and timing Management of the contributors Daily management of group and assignment resources Assign needed work packages Regular review with N+1 to check alignment between needs and availabilities Let''s talk about you.... B achelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of product engineering experience, with 3 years and/or 2 product cycles specifically in automotive lamp system and component design. Experience with successful execution of automotive lamp programs; strong experience with full LED lighting systems is preferred. Strong technical aptitude, creativity in design, and the ability to execute feasible solutions to complex engineering problems. Understanding of lighting homologation requirements: FMVSS 108 and ECE R48 in particular. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing principles including GD&T, assembly and dimensional engineering principles in design. Plastic component design experience with CATIA V5/V6 strongly preferred. Experience with management of difficult projects with tight timing constraints.
