ResponsibilitiesRiver Oaks Hospital, located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents and children. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks has provided quality treatment to service individuals suffering from mental illness, and/or addictive disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient).River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented PAYROLL / AP COORDINATOR.The Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the processing payroll and accounts payable for the hospital and its affiliate. Monitors time and attendance documentation to ensure accurate and timely recording of all hours worked by employees. Assists in the preparation of all payroll related reports as needed. Processes and tracks invoices and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner. Interacts with a wide variety of personnel in all departments of the company. Business-related degree or some college courses preferred.Experience: One to three years experience processing payroll, vendor invoices, and related tasks required. Healthcare background preferred.Working Knowledge: Must be computer proficient and have experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with Lawson, Kronos, and accounts payable software preferred.Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Computer literate and proficient in the use of a 10 key adding terpersonal Skills: Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, ability to do computer entry for long periods of time. Able to lift 30 lbs.Essential Cognitive Abilities: Individual must have ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and business problems in technical business/accounting language; able to perform calculations and accounting problems rapidly. Able to interpret and communicate policies and procedures to all levels of staff effectively.
