ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY: Assists in the direct care & management of patients across all age ranges with medical & behavioral issues asdirected by the treatment team. Assists with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues,leisure activities, and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients & with considerationfor the patient''s level of growth & development.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training:High School diploma or equivalent or combination of education/experience.Prefer bachelor''s degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, or human growth & development.Experience:No minimum.Prefer one year''s experience as a nurse''s aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or the equivalent in a rehabilitation, psychiatric, or similar setting.Licensure/Certification:Current North Carolina Driver''s LicenseCurrent CPR Certification (American Health Association Healthcare Provider)CPI CertificationKnowledge and Skills:Displays an understanding of the basic concepts of safe, supportive, nurturing, & therapeutic human interactions.Demonstrates understanding of program & philosophy & is able to interpret & implement patient care.Displays an active interest in learning.
