Energize your career at Constellation!Location: Position is a hybrid role with remote work flexibility. If based in Austin, Texas all travel should be able to take place during the normal work week. If based in Baltimore, MD there would be about 25% travel to visit ERCOT in Austin, Texas approximately 1 week/month.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThis position is responsible for wholesale market policy in the ERCOT Regional Transmission Organization (RTO). The position creates value by developing and advancing Constellations wholesale market policy positions in the rapidly evolving electricity markets in Texas. The successful candidate will work closely with Constellations commercial business units to help identify commercial opportunities and risks in the Texas electricity market and, through advocacy, persuasion and collaboration influence external stakeholders including ERCOT, policymakers and trade associations to advance Constellations policy positions. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Wholesale Market Development.PRIMARY DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIESAnalyze, propose, and advocate for market rules and policies at ERCOT and the PUCT to support Constellation commercial business; identify emerging resource and load trends and policies that provide commercial opportunities or create commercial risks for the business.Develop and implement a comprehensive approach to achieving Constellations electric policy positions in ERCOT.Work closely with the Director, SGA West to facilitate a coordinated advocacy effort in Texas across ERCOT, PUCT and the Legislature.Track issues and ensure that the business units are aware of ERCOT market rule development, PUCT projects and dockets, and contribute to required regulatory filingsBuild and maintain strong relationships with ERCOT leadership and staff, public officials, trade associations, and stakeholder groupsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications4-year degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science or engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 12 or more years of relevant experienceAbility to create practical solutions to complex problemsAbility to understand risk and return relationships within a portfolio context and recommend strategies to manage risk and enhance returnsAbility to value and structure energy and fuel transactionsAbility to effectively communicate complex recommendations to a variety of audience, including senior managementPreferred QualificationsMBA or other relevant graduate degreeConstellation is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and employees or applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to: age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.VEVRAA Federal ContractorLI-HybridREQNUMBER: 242286
