Now, we have an exciting new opportunity for someone like you to join us as our new Business Solutions & Enterprise Applications Manager.The Business Solutions & Enterprise Applications Manager assists the TIS Director t o formulate and implement the City-wide vision for technology as it relates to Business Systems applications. The City of Redmond is comprised of (8) unique departments with different business needs and so this is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the diversity and the chance to work with a broad portfolio of enterprise applications. This is also a great role for an experienced manager/supervisor who has learned how fulfilling it is to lead a team and help their employees grow and develop. You also have experience leading and nurturing teams of people with strong analytical skills and can understand the unique needs great thinkers have for solving challenges and developing innovative solutions. Fluent in a lot of different business areas especially as it relates to technology. This positions covers a broad scope of applications needed by our departments from Public Works to Human Resources to Police & Fire and more. Our ideal candidate has worked in a similar setting or brings a natural, high-level of adaptability and learning agility. A driver of results. This is an exciting position because in this role, you and your team get to reimagine enterprise applications and develop roadmaps. You also have strong partnering skills that allow you to earn trust and sell the vision to internal clients for how to implement new systems and applications.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESIf selected to join the City of Redmond, these are a few of your key responsibilities:Act as the lead interface to City departments, steering committees, and project teams with respect to a portfolio of over 300 business applications.Directly lead the full lifecycle of new product, services, and professional services related to the management and procurement of business systems.Partner with the Program and Project Management team in driving compliance with established and developing standardized Business Process/Analysis and project management methodologies.Project oversight across work related to the development, management, and refresh of an active project pipeline.Establish best practices and oversee ongoing support and maintenance of enterprise business applications.Establish and realize a vision for Business Architecture.As the supervisor of a team with approximately (11) employees reporting to you, here are your other responsibilities:You need to be to establish clear roles and expectations for your team which align with the needs of TIS and the City. You need to be able to develop and inspire your staff as well as address performance concerns as necessary so that issues don''t go unresolvedYou need to understand and embrace your role as the leader of BSOL - you are the Program Manager and technical lead for the portfolio of services provided by your team.You need to fully understand the needs of the business, implication of decisions, and be proactive and collaborative with business stakeholders.You are engaged with other City Department Manager''s team conversations by taking ownership of BSOL and position yourself as your team''s advocate and leader.You are engaged in the work being performed by your team and have operational awareness of all of their activities.You are actively involved in solving problems; rather than taking team feedback at face value, you are inquisitive, you investigate all options, and verify that all options have been appropriately evaluated.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Experience and Other RequirementsBachelor''s Degree in Information Technology, or a related field. Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, public administration, or a closely related field,Two (2) years of supervisory experience with a permanent team (not project based)Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
