The On-Call RN will take calls and go out on visits when necessary to assess and manage symptoms. The On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for reporting symptom calls and interventions to the appropriate individuals.Work Shift - Weekends Only - Shift: 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM Service Area(s)- Chicago''s Gold Coast, Lakeview and surrounding area within 30 mile radius Required Experience:Requirements for On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) positionsAssociate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferredLicensed Registered Nurse in the State of IllinoisCertified Hospice and Palliative Nurse PreferredMinimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care, home health, or hospice settingAbility and flexibility to drive throughout entire JourneyCare service areaAbility to demonstrate sound clinical judgement with minimal supervisionAbility to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a calming, professional presence in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain organizational confidentiality, which includes but is not limited to information about patients/families, volunteers, employees, donors, and Agency processesCommunication skills, verbal and writtenExcellent time management and organizational skillsComputer skills (Word, Excel, patient database, e-mail), voicemailKnowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, preferredKeyword: Response Registered NurseFrom: JourneyCare
