Be part of the team that can leverage your experience to address growing needs of our client base. As Product Manager of models within our Product Management team, you will be responsible to develop and drive the scope, execution and launch of one or more models. You will bring a customer focus to the complex process of building and releasing catastrophe models.• Be a leader and drive the coordination of the release and acceptance of the model with large cross functional groups.• Engage clients and consistently bring client focus to a process that is multi-year in nature.• Work with key stakeholders to manage the goals, scope and launch of the model• Work with diverse teams composed of some of the brightest minds in the industryThe successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the insurance or risk management industry with a strong weather or geoscience and technology related background, a blend of business and techno-functional skills, and the ability to define a vision and make it a reality.About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the RoleYou will:• Drive the model development process from beginning to end, starting with project definition and scope all the way to software release; create and maintain project scope, requirements and schedules; provide progress updates to stakeholders; review and provide feedback on testing strategies• Engage with external clients regularly to understand the overall business value, gather requirements, feedback and detailed use cases• Coordinate across multiple internal teams, including Product Management, QA, Software, Business Development, Client Services and Research• Represent AIR as a domain expert in various internal and external venues• Maintain and support models between updates; respond to internal and external client questions and issues• Manage off cycle software releases as necessary Qualifications• 5+ years insurance industry experience• 3+ years working with CAT modeling products• Demonstrated ability in managing long term complex projects that include cross-functional teams to successful completion• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and easily understandable way • Direct Product Management experience including Agile practices, preferred• BS Degree in science, technical or related field (Master''s degree a plus)LI-MV1Additional InformationExtreme event solutions at Verisk (formerly AIR Worldwide) provides risk modeling solutions that help individuals, businesses, and society become more resilient to extreme events.
