TheDirector, DEI Benchmarking/Strategic Partnershipswill be responsible for benchmarking DEI best practices and developing key DEI strategic partnerships with diverse professional organizations and pipeline programs. Manages the relationship with diverse partners to create pipelines to find diverse talent, diverse suppliers, and diverse community partnerships. Uses predetermined metrics to see how valuable each partnership is, and evaluates these relationships to get improved ROI on each partnership. Researches and identifies strategically aligned DEI external stakeholders for engagement resulting in collaboration and sponsorship of HMH programs. Develops social media messages, correspondence, and other materials needed for engagement with diverse stakeholders. Supports the implementation of the DEI strategy by tracking program deliverables and community engagement goals with determined metrics and benchmarking. Translates DEI best practice research into programs, initiatives, and partnerships. Researches, evaluates, and recommends DEI best practices in governance and leadership. Identifies and participates in local cross-sectoral activities, events, meetings, or other engagements in which key stakeholders are anticipated to attend. Understands operational and strategic challenges facing the field, and stays abreast of emerging approaches that can inform policy and organizational practice change. Partners with SVP/CDO to establish an external HMH Executive Diversity Council, with key external stakeholders and strategic partners focusing on project oversight, and developing action steps that advance HMH DEI strategic goals within our organization and the broader community we serve. Provides insights to help understand how HMH compares with similar organizations and within the healthcare industry, different industries, and different groups/patients/communities. Manages, guides, and supports Diversity and Inclusion department staff. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor''s degree. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion or in a related area. Previous experience in Benchmarking Previous management experience. Strategic thinker and team builder. Project management/execution skills. Strong communication and organizational skills Relationship management. Ability to advance multiple competing priorities. Strong research, analytical, and database skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Master''s degree is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, in business, human resources management, or a closely-related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in benchmarking. Minimum of 2 years of prior management experience. Licenses and Certifications Preferred: Diversity certification.
